Dear Yuletide Author
Dear Awesome Person,
Wow, we have so much more time this year! And yet I still did things at the last minute. /o\ Sorry for any and all sleep-deprived babble in my submission details. Hopefully this post will help? If you don't want details for the fandoms, I've included some general likes and my lone hardline squick below, and then you can do whatever you like.

Really, everything else is fine. I'm not particularly in the mood for deathfic this Yuletide, but if you simply have to write about the zombie apocalypse or whatever, I'm game ;)
If you DO want more details, I'm happy to provide!
Banlieue 13
Literally any fic in this fandom will make me happy. I'm deeply OTP about Damien and Leito, and slashy post-Ultimatum rebuilding-B13 worldbuilding fic with the whole ensemble would be a dream, but you could write me a fic about Gassman's secretary from the second movie and I would be ecstatic. Where did Lola end up? What's Tao's story? What do the other cops think when Damien and Leito start sparring at the new station? How many ridiculous undercover jobs has Damien pulled off? How did Leito get started with parkour?
Hah, I think I've made almost this exact request three years running, because I am obsessed with this goofy little fandom. I love the joy and playfulness of the movies, and the characters hooked powerfully enough that I just want all the fanfic about their world, because fandom is awesome at taking a premise and exploring it better than the source.
Plus, parkour and amazing stunts and hot French men being epically slashy. And awesome ladies. And ridiculousness. The potential for bantery slashy sparring, and antagonistic complex friendship/partnership, and what family means, and how to keep your idealism when you're undercover with criminals all the time or growing up in a place the government abandoned, and fighting for the things you believe in, and trusting someone who's totally different but fights for the things you fight for.
Um, yeah, rambling again. Next!
Men in Black
I really really desperately crave fic where Kay, Zed, and O take over the MIB in the '70s from the old school guy (X? I think that was his name, the xenophobic jerkwad running the place in the sixties), and revolutionizing everything. Or poker night over the years. Or outsider POV on them. Agent Jay is obviously optional but totally welcome, as are any pairings you like, though I adore gen as well.
Yet another fandom where the worldbuilding is tantalizingly out of reach in favor of Will Smith cracking jokes. Not that I don't love that! But I wanted more of the 'old guys' and their no-doubt hilarious, epic backstory after decades of alien shenanigans, and was totally intrigued that the organization was originally run by xenophobes, and what happened to change that. And so much stuff happened in the 60s/70s, how much fun would it be to run that through the 'aliens were already here in hiding' reality filter and see what came out?
Bletchley Circle
I love the whole group and would love to have more of them, but I'm particularly curious what happens to Susan after the events of the miniseries. Does she tell her husband? Does she keep in touch with the others? Does she have nightmares? Get invited back to help Scotland Yard with the next serial killer? Meet Peggy Carter? Go traveling with the Doctor? ;) I want to know!
I'm mostly kidding about the crossovers, because I did love the historical realism of the show, how complex and unflinching it was about the unpleasant things that society was trying to ignore. While on one level I want Susan's husband to be cool about her adventures and Scotland Yard to call her for help, I know that a messier reality would be more true to the canon.
If you don't have any ideas for that, I'd also adore Susan backstory with all the ladies at Bletchley, or about her love for math (the book inscription!), their transition from WWII to the time of the series, or their continuing adventures (individually or separately).
Millenium Trilogy
Lisbeth is my favorite, and while I'm mostly interested in her story after the end of the series since her backstory is covered rather thoroughly, I want anything I can get about her. I would utterly adore fic about her connecting with the people who helped her in the third book, especially all the kickass ladies - Erika, Miriam, Annika, Susanne Linder, etc, etc. I ship her with Mikael, but their friendship is fascinating regardless if you don't share that opinion. I just want *more* - the books set up a fascinating network of people, and stopped just at the place where Lisbeth could have started interacting with all of them.
I belatedly realized that this request came out slanted towards the book canon, which you may not have read since the fandom is listed under 'all media types'. I do prefer the books to the Swedish films (the American film falls somewhere in between) - I love all the supporting characters, and the broader level of detail and worldbuilding that is present, and well, you read my list of likes - but Lisbeth is awesome in different ways in all three so write whatever you're most comfortable with. Or some mutant blend, I'm flexible. ;)
Most of my requests this year are nicely small in terms of canon, so if you get stuck on whatever we matched on and feel adventurous, that's a plus - B13 is two movies, Men in Black is three movies, Bletchley Circle is three episodes. (The Millenium trilogy is not so easy, alas - 3 books, 4 movies, and counting! But well worth the time, IMO) I hope you have fun (especially if it's your first time with Yuletide), thank you so much for your time and your passion for these small fandoms. Hopefully this post will be useful to you in making the process easier.
