Yes! School soccer starts tomorrow. We have a tournament, so we get off after 1st period to go eat breakfast and hang out until our 1pm game, and the same deal on Friday. And it's all excused as a field trip.... *eg*

My school is full of Weasley family lookalikes. There's a freshman who looks exactly like Bonny Wright (Ginny), though she has the unfortunate name of Coco (her last name makes it worse, but I can't tell you). There's a boy in my French class who acts like Percy and has red hair. There was a Ron clone in my Creative Writing class. A boy I went to middle school with now looks eerily like a young Bill, complete with sexy hair (though his brain, sadly, does not match). And to top it all off, I have a friend named James who has messy black hair, glasses, and brown eyes.

I'm such a sad, sad girl.

*bounces* Oh, I could have fun with this! Although chances are you've read/seen a lot of these things.

Movie: The Professional, with Natalie Portman.
Book: Hawksong by Amelia Atwater Rhodes. Her previous books weren't all that great, but this one was fascinating.
Musical Artist: Vienna Teng.
LJ User: No idea. No bloody idea.
Something To Do: Well, if you aren't afriad of heights, I'd suggest bungee jumping.

And blegh to getting the Harry Potter lookalikes. Closest one here that I know of is one of my brother's friends who has an unfortunate resemblance to Crabbe. (Both physically and mentally.)

Thanks for the recs, darlin'. What kind of music does Vienna Teng perform? Also, bungee jumping sounds like fun, but my parents would *kill* me, after they recovered from the heart attacks ;)

Ah, she performs... I suppose it's pop, but it doesn't feel like it. She has a lovely voice. her lyrics are gorgeous, and it's just... gah. http://www.viennateng.com/high/music/download.html has some mp3s of her music- I suggest listening to 'gravity' or 'lullabye for a stormy night'.

Pity your parents won't let you bungee jump. Mine won't either, tragically. I've always wanted to try it, so it's on my list of things to do as soon as I'm away at college and away from the adults.

Wow, she's got a gorgeous voice. Her songs remind me a little of Norah Jones, but with piano. I'll have to check around for her CD.

I looked around for info on Hawksong, and the main character is ringing my Mary Sue alarms: shape-changing princess with an interesting name. Please tell me she isn't?

Good luck finding her CD. I finally had to have a store special order mine, after I checked about a dozen stores and none of them had it. But yes, her CD is so gorgeous.

Nah, not that many MS vibes. A few, but most novels with a female character have a few. She didn't really seem to me like she was one, anyway.

Alrighty, then. I'll have to look for both of them.

*pats head* Good girl. *g*

Oh, did you watch Joan of Arcadia last night? (You do watch it, right?)

[identity profile] thespatz.livejournal.com 2004-01-11 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
EEEE!!!! Yes! I only just saw it today, because I was busy with soccer and sleeping on Friday/Saturday, but wow, so cute! I plan to squee fully in an entry, but I really couldn't think of a better ending for an episode. The feathers! The rail gun! Grace! Luke! The letter! *squees*
