Movie (rewatch): Aliens
wins by default, but also by being MADE OF WIN. I am going to be Ripley for Halloween this year - I planned for it last year, and got coaxed into being Kaylee instead. Oh the tragedy ;)

Book (new): Ghost Story
HARRY DRESDEN FUCK YEAH. Quite the game-changer, though in some ways it felt like setup for epic events to follow. In an awesome way, but now I'm back in "where's the next book?!?" mode. *facepalm*

Book (reread): The Cloud Roads

TV: ...huh. Nothing stands out.
Flashpoint 113 was pretty awesome, but I've seen it before. Bones 622 broke my heart - I haven't cried that hard since the Ninth Doctor died *sniff* - but I was irked by the way the season ended.

sorry, Empires, ILU, but you didn't heckle the audience into behaving while you conducted an acoustic singalong, or lead them in the Whipped Cream Dance. And your opener was deeply forgettable, while I knew and loved three out of four of Ludo's. *fistpump*

This is, basically, an Ivan/Byerly Vorkosiverse story about democracy. Sort of. It's awesome, frequently hilarious, original, and Ivan & By are all kinds of amazing. ♥ Cross (Dresden Files) was a close runner-up, but lost due to desperate need of a sequel.

Fanfic (reread): Relatives & Relativity
The Dashwood sisters meet the newly regenerated Ninth Doctor. AMAZING. And clever (just look at that title!), funny, gorgeously written, and full of wonder like all the best DW stories..
