Oh, Clint Barton. Red-haired women, snarky banter, trick arrows, awkward but sincere heroics, and self-esteem issues. I feel like Matt Fraction has seen into my soul and pulled out everything I love about this character and is working his way steadily through the (long, very long) list. With bonus Kate Bishop being awesome and gorgeous action/art by David Aja. *glee*
Though, question: does that make it three issues running where Clint got knocked unconscious? *checks* Yup, three in a row. I'm beginning to worry about his brain. Er, more than usual.
I'm also a little worried about the whole hooking up with Cherry thing, because isn't he dating Jessica Drew? IDK, the timeline might be shifted. I hope so, I really really hate cheating so I'd have to be mad at Clint (or, more realistically, handwave it and be temporarily mad at the writer before moving on), and that's really out of character (odd, considering how awesome Fraction's characterization has been so far).
Perhaps there's something more complicated going on. I know we see Cherry again, since she's on the cover for #7 (thank you, Tumblr). Ooh, maybe that's the issue where Jessica and Natasha are supposed show up - multiple exes and current girlfriend all at once! Probably mocking him in tandem with Kate! Poor Clint. *snickers*
