Strangely, Britney Spears' drunk marriage in Vegas has made me feel sympathetic towards the girl. She's still silly and talentless, but human. Plus, maybe the teasing over this will make the poor thing get some common sense, stat.
I've hated that woman since forever, but this little incident seems to have sneaked in through my look-at-the-silly-person-aren't-they-sweet?-*headpat* loophole.
Understandable. A lot of my friends feel the same way. I, on the other hand, have no real emotion towards her besides hating the fact some of her songs enter my head and refuse to leave.
I hate the way she has steadily lost clothing since her career began, yet still stands as a role model for girls. Yech. This pulls her off the podium a bit, and I'm just a sucker for silly people.
Ah, I hate that trait, but considering it's found in most of the female pop stars, I just hate it in all of them! *g* Sadly, I can't hate anyone because they're silly- it's a bit hypocritical in my case.
Who exactly did she marry? Was it just some random person, or did she actually know him? And you're right, it does make her more sympathetic. I'm all "oh, the poor dear..wait a sec, I dislike her...the poor kid." It's all very confusing.
Hmm...how drunk do you have to be to get married? Not so drunk you can't walk up the aisle, but drunk enough to think it's a marvelous idea. Probably a fine balance. Hee. You're right, hilarity ensues.
