In the twelve years since the Chiyan case, Jingyan has made no mention of the Chiyan Fleet, Lin Shu, Prince Qi, or anyone else killed in the conspiracy. Mei Changsu has waited for that final proof while he gathered his secrets and lined up his pawns, but now he can't wait any longer: he has to know what Jingyan's true feelings are before he arrives in Jinling. So he arranges an ambush on his own ship in order to meet with him. Will Jingyan help him bring justice to his army of dead – or does he believe justice has already been served?

This story is brought to you by the fact that when contemplating a space AU, my first thought was how the Emperor could be an even worse dad than canon! Enjoy!
