Hathaway has previously expounded on Newton at the drop of a hat like a good Cambridge boy, so he's going to be very nerdily excited over this obviously complex hoax (and telling Lewis all about how they're clearly based on Newton's less-known but extensive studies of the occult, and obviously getting stuck with reading it for the investigation because Latin) -- until someone starts throwing fireballs.
